Xiaomi has been teasing the launch of the much awaited Redmi Note 7 series in India. This time it looks like a final teaser stating the official announcement. Xiaomi India MD Mr. Manu Kumar Jain on 14th February, 2019 tweeted a photo showing a massive ‘7’ with hints of specifications of the Redmi Note 7. The image also shows the launch date, i.e, 28th February, 2019. The tweet stated ‘We promised a game changer & here it is! The #thug7ife phone #RedmiNote7 will launch on 28th Feb, 2019! 📸’

For those who are unaware, Redmi Note 7 is the first phone of he Redmi Series to launch with a 48MP rear camera. The device sports a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 48MP Samsung GM1 sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 5MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The front camera on the device is a 13MP with f/2.0 aperture.

Under the hood, the smartphone runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC and an Adreno 512 GPU bundled together. The device has a 6.3 inches full HD+ display (hosting a teardrop notch) with Gorilla glass 5 protection.

The device is a powerhouse and comes with a 4000 mAH battery with 18W fast charging. The phone sports a Type – C port.

On the security front the phone has a rear mounted fingerprint sensor and also supports face unlock technology.

The device has a glass sandwich build and comes with gradient finish at the back.

The base model comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage and the other 2 variants come with 4GB / 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.

The base model is anticipated to start in the ₹ 10,000/- price bracket.
