ASUS had promised OTA (Over-The-Air) updates for ASUS Zenfone 5Z and ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M2 in January, 2019. After releasing the Android Pie update for Zenfone 5Z, ASUS has now released an OTA update for the Max Pro M2.

ASUS confirmed the release of the new update through a tweet through their official Twitter account. The update though does not mention anything about Android Pie, it does bring in new features. Some of them are stated below :

– Optimised battery performance.

– Optimised camera performance. AI scene detection added to the camera.

– January, 2019 security patch included.

ASUS is yet to confirm whether the same update with the above features will be pushed out for the predecessor, i.e, the ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1 or ASUS Zenfone Max M2.

The ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M2 is the best smartphone of the year 2018 under Rs. 15,000/- when it comes to value for money. It offers great specs at a budget and also has looks you would love to flaunt. The smartphone looks very premium in terms of design and build quality. Recently ASUS also announced a new colour variant, i.e, the Titanium edition which is available from midnight 30th January, 2018.

It will be interesting, when ASUS pushes out the Android Pie update for the Zenfone Max Pro M2 as it comes with stock android. Hence, we can expect many of the Android Pie’s features to b incorporated in that update.
