Redmi Note 7 is set to launch in India soon. Atleast that is what we can predict from the latest photo tweeted by MD – Xiaomi India and Global VP – Xiaomi, Manu Kumar Jain who is seen holding the phone along with Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun. The caption states that “They are going to turn the industry upside down. An amazing 48MP is coming”.

The Redmi note 7 was launched in China earlier this month for a starting price of ¥999 (around INR 10.5k) for the base variant, i.e, the one which comes with 3GB of RAM along with 32GB of onboard storage.

Redmi Note 7 comes with a dual rear camera setup. The speciality of the phone is that it comes with a 48MP Samsung GM1 sensor as a primary camera with f/1.8 aperture along with a 5MP secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture. It sports a 13MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The smartphone is runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC. It has a 6.3 inch FHD+ display (with a teardrop notch) with Gorilla glass 5 protection. A glass sandwich build and an attractive gradient back panel (This is surely a major design upgrade in the Redmi series.

The device has a type-C port, a 4000mAH battery and supports 18W fast charging.

Xiaomi at the launch of Redmi Note 7 did mention the launch of the Redmi Note 7 Pro later this year. It must be launched for about ¥1499 (around INR 15.7k). The Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor instead of a the Samsung one.

Instead of Snapdragon 660 SoC, it is rumoured to launch with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 675 SoC.

It will be interesting to see whether Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 7 or Redmi Note 7 Pro or both the devices in the Indian market. Such great specifications at this price will be a trendsetter in the Indian smartphone market.
