The Flipkart page of ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M2 and the tweet by @ASUSIndia confirms that ASUS is launching the device in India on the same date on which it will launch it in Indonesia, i.e, 11th December, 2018. It is the successor to ASUS’ very successful phone ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1.
The device will be a Flipkart exclusive, just like its previous version. The phone is rumoured to be priced in the same price range in which its predecessor was launched. The post states that the mid-range smartphone will sport a notched display along with Gorilla Glass 6. The Flipkart page of the smartphone says it is designed to survive 15 consecutive drops from a height of 1 metre and is also scratch resistant.
ASUS claims it to be a performance beast with the #UnbeatablePerformer2dot0. ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M2 is expected to launch with Snapdragon 660. It is expected to have 4GB and 6GB RAM variants along with 64GB and 128GB of onboard storage.
The phone is also rumoured to have the same 5000mAH huge battery as its predecessor and a 6 inch full HD+ display. The icons appearing on the screen provide that the smartphone will still be running on stock android, just like its predecessor. The page also states the smartphone has sony sensor for its primary camera.
It would be interesting to see the performance of the device in terms of processing, camera, display and battery.
The smartphone has a glossy back finish which indicates it may sport a glass or a plastic back with a glossy finish.
